Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Volunteers are an essential part of Martha’s Farm Animal Sanctuary, and your contributions will directly impact the lives of our animals and our mission.

Running a sanctuary with more than a hundred farm animals takes a village! Martha’s Farm Animal Sanctuary requires many hands to operate every day. We love our volunteers and hope you’ll become one. You’ll get to help with important jobs like:

Feeding, watering, cleaning and caring for the animals
Checking the animals and sharing the love
Cleaning and organizing
General maintenance
Other chores that may come up

We require 4 hours a week for at least 6 months, if possible.

Are you over the age of 18? Unfortunately, we can not allow minors under the age of 18 to attend volunteer shifts with or without supervision.

Can you commit to a weekly or every other week shift on the same day each week?

Provide some information on your experiences and special skills that could support the sanctuary.

Are you able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 25lbs, stand and walk for up to 4 hours, and work in heat?

We are located in the Santa Ynez Valley, about 5 miles outside of Buellton and approximately 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara. Is this commute feasible for you?
